Tree plantation means planting trees at a large scale. The purpose of planting trees is to save the endangered environment. We cannot think of our existence on the earth without trees. Trees protect us from natural calamities like cyclones, mudslides, floods, etc. They give us oxygen and take up carbon dioxide. And thus they maintain ecological balance. So trees are the most valuable asset to a country. The best time for tree plantation is the rainy season. We can plant trees around our dwelling places and in open

places. Moreover, we can plant trees on the side of the roads, rivers, canals and playing fields. Bangladesh government observes national tree plantation week every year. In order to make it successful, we need to raise mass awareness among the people. However, the government alone cannot make it a success. Also, free distribution of plants and saplings can make it a success. We all should plant more trees to live healthily and to save the mother earth.
