Dialogue: After Coming Out of the Examination Hall
Rina: Hello, Jane.
How was today's paper?
Jane: It was okay. But you look annoyed. What
happened to you?
Rina: Oh! I've had a horrible experience. The questions scared me out of my wits. It was my good
fortune that I could save myself
somehow.
Jane: But I have answered all the questions. To speak
the truth, all the questions were somewhat difficult. But I could carry on
rather with ease.
Rina: The question
nos. 2 and 4 were not common to me. In fact all the questions seemed very difficult.
Jane: I don't think so. It seemed very hard to you as
you could not study well owing to your illness.
Rina: You may be
right. But it's true that you are a
bright student. So, your case is different.
Jane: Still, the paper as a whole was not so hard
that you can't score 50% marks.
Rina: I am
speaking of the average students.
Jane: I didn’t see any student depressed.
Rina: What are you
saying? For ordinary students like me the questions were definitely difficult.
Jane: The questions on grammar were quite easy.
Besides, the essay topics were common.
Rina: Don't forget
that you are one of the best students of our class. By the way, I wonder if our
examiners ever feel for us.
Jane: They are all judicious teachers. The point is
that we neglect our work and so we suffer in the long run.
Rina: In this case
I agree with you. However, I am happy to see that you are optimistic.
Jane: Let's hope for the best and be serious from now
on. Bye for now! See you!
Rina: Thanks, and see you soon! Bye!
Rina: Thanks, and see you soon! Bye!
